Get Centered ✨
Do you ever have the feeling of being “off-centered” or of needing to “get centered.” Being “centered” is a feeling of being balanced and at ease on all levels—physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. Yoga is my way to center myself on all levels- It can be a traditional yoga class, sculpt, heated, whatever.. its all yoga which leads me deeper to my own inner connection. There is always moments of movement, stillness, challenge and ease in all yoga practices as is true in life in general. I believe our goal and our mission is to find acceptance and move through with grace – durning the happiness, sorrow, challenges, illness, creating new relationships and leaving old ones behind. “One who can see action within inaction and inaction within action is the wisest among all beings.” Krishna

To find your center in Virabhadrasana II—the place where your energy is distributed evenly, physically and mentally. Viparita Virabhadrasana is one in a series of foundational yoga poses named for the mythological warrior, Virabhadra, believed to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva.

The mental and spiritual benefits include:
✨Reduces fatigue
✨Calms and focuses the mind
✨Builds perseverance
✨Boosts self-esteem
✨Energizes the mind and body

Balance three the muladhara chakra (root), associated with a sense of grounding and stability; manipura (solar plexus), associated with self-confidence; and ajna (third eye), associated with intuition and imagination. The training of a yogi begins as you let go of any external distractions and bring your awareness to your core and your breath. Yoga can help us see how unnecessary tension within our actions shifts us off-center. Durning your practice take moments to scan your body and notice any gripping or holding patters, notice the depth of your breath.

I encourage you to try this pose today so you may be given confidence to face your fears, courage to move forward, compassion to embrace another, and the wisdom to surrender.
